I enjoyed experiencing a new style of music from another culture and learning about its history, I learnt that flamenco is a fast tempo spanish precussion based dance music that uses a twelve count instead of the modern music standard of four, flamenco music originated due to poverty and religious conflict which seperated the cultures of that era.

Flamenco music could be applied to my music to create strong emotion due to the precussive nature of the rhythm patterm in particular if an intense or dramatic mood was needed in a composition.
