My Targets As A Musician

I aim to achieve a level of guitar where I can easily play and learn to play songs that I listen to and also write my own music influenced by this. My final major project will help me achieve this because we are compiling a set of six songs for an EP, the six tracks are made up of one cover which will show that I can learn from existing material and we have altered it slightly to create a different timbre and texture when compared to the original version, the remaining five songs are original compositions influenced by our personal music backgrounds and things were listening to at that point in time.

I would also like to learn other instruments to help develop as a musician and refine my timing and overall song writing ability and musical knowledge is by learning drums as this is the core part of the songs structure. When I first started the course I had issues keeping time with the band or to a click track, my timing has improved since then and I can play more closely to the timing of the material I'm playing or playing with but I still could improve, I am working to improve by practicing more and focusing on my weaker areas of playing including my timing, chord knowledge, and lead techniques.
