Paul Simon was the first American artist to perform in post-apartheid South Africa, and is also the co-founder of The Children’s Health Fund with Dr. Irwin Redlener (1986) and has raised millions of dollars for worthy other causes (AMFAR, The Nature Conservancy, The Fund for Imprisoned Children in South Africa, Autism Speaks and The Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation).
