What was the performance technique that you picked in your last form and how did it help you in your pod session?

Having a rehearsal plan helped to identify what needed to be done and whithin a somewhat realistic timeframe.

How were your pod sessions over the last week and what progression did you make?

No time was spent in the pods yet again due to being needed for live sound or the studio being taken by other students who at times were not supposed to be there.

What is your approach to songwriting and do you believe that your method is effective?

I am currently rehearsing lead techniques which will expand the possibilities within my song writing by giving new directions other than chord progressions, the techniques can also be used in combination with a standard chord structure to create a unique sound for the piece of music.

What genre is your band and how do you cater your composition approach to ensure your songs fit this genre?

Rock/Punk/Nu-metal/Metal

Keeping in mind the genre of your band how do you plan to market yourselves in order to get outside gigs?

I don't plan to market the products at the moment as I am not in a band and I would be unable to play the recorded material live at gigs.

Do you believe that your band would be ready to play a 30 minute set this weekend? If so why? If not why and what measures should you put in place to ensure you're gig ready?

There is not enough material produced at this time and there is only myself which wouldn't work for a live performance as more than one instrument (or a vocalist) would be needed.

Pick another rehearsal technique to introduce into your next pod sessions

  • Record a song and listen back to it

  • Apply warm up techniques

  • Create a rehearsal plan

  • Repetition of sections

  • Setting correct mix levels

  • Playing along to a metronome

  • Setting the pod up before session begins

  • Rehearse in stage format

  • Allow time for band Discussion
