Production Evaluation/O2 Job Role Preparation.

Look over your aims from your evaluation from last week, what have you done over the last week to achieve your aims?

I have chosen a song (Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams) which I will be working on for the next few weeks and creating a new variant which combines modern influences in both technology and music styles, while doing this I will be taking ideas and techniques to use in my own music.

Did you come across any issues that impacted on the progression of your album? How did you solve them?

Solo composition is currently at a higher ability than I am currently working at therefore I have chosen to use existing material to save time to be able to meet deadlines and to include different genres into the album.

How you planning on presenting your work at the O2 showcase?

My work will be presented through the PA systems throughout both nights as people arrive, during changeovers and any intervals during the set, I will consider videoing what I am doing during the night in a live sound position.

Last week you also made a suggestion on personal improvements you need to make, what have you done over the last week to help towards improving?

I have been making choices on songs to include in the album and have started to learn them and create ideas on how I would change the song.

Why do you believe you are suitable for this job?

I have previous experience in this role and have related opportunities coming up before the O2 gig.

How do you think this job will be beneficial for you?

I will be gaining more experience in the technical aspects of running a gig and increasing the possibility of employment with a company.

What tasks will you have to undertake for this role?

Changeovers, equipment setup, soundchecks, ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times, ect.

Have you started any of these tasks already? If not why and what is your first steps in under going this job?

Yes, I have done these tasks before joining the course and I have upcoming opportunities in job roles related to this.

Research into the bands that will be performing at the O2 to gain information on the style of setup they require along with any specific requirements.
