The MU represents over 30,000 musicians and negotiate with all the major employers in the industry, as well as offering services, benefits and advice tailored to the required needs at every stage of a musician's career. The yearly membership prices of being in the musicians union are £20 for full time students, £165 when earning less than £20,000, and £213 when earning £20,000 or more per year.
