Project Concept

During the project I aim to further increase the amount of live sound and technician skills that I am able to achieve to a professional level, to do this my contributions will be made by live sound mixing, sound checking, stage rigging, and technical running during changeovers. To further this I am also going to display recording and mixing skills within a studio by producing original material and remixed versions of music from other bands. the research into these areas can be found in previous blog posts and support the development of the project by demonstrating the knowledge of technical equipment and also some insight into scientific knowledge of sound physics and the way sound interacts with different rooms and materials. By the end of this project I will have produced up to two original compositions and two remixes of other material from other artists, the level of resources needed are fairly easy available within college with computers with Cubase, audio interfaces, and monitors or headphones, I also need a guitar, leads, tuner, and guitar picks of which I have provided to myself for the project. In order to complete the project within an allocated time scale regular progression forms have been filled in and logs the progress of any changes to the project, also at the start of the project a timeline plan was created to provide a structure for each task that needed to be completed and more recently a revised version was made to identify the final parts of the project and the events leading up to and past the final O2 Academy gig.
